01 The Problem
Our client needed a high-stakes real-time auction platform where hundreds of bidders compete simultaneously on premium items. Existing solutions were slow, unreliable under load, and couldn't handle the real-time demands of live auctions where milliseconds matter.

We built a WebSocket-first architecture using Socket.io that pushed live bid updates to all connected users in under 50ms. A custom bid validation engine prevented race conditions and double-bids. Separate buyer and seller dashboards gave each party exactly the information they needed.
